Hello! My name is Lexie Tiongson. I currently go to San Francisco State University with a major in Journalism. I am 19 years old. I have a passion for fashion. It is my dream to become a fashion journalist one day. Whether it’s working behind the scenes on fashion shows, or writing for a magazine on anything in the topic of fashion, I am willing to do it. My favorites in fashion include Betsey Johnson and H&M.

I love Betsey Johnson’s spunky personality and the brightness of colors and patterns in the fabrics she chooses. The colors black, silver, white and gray are inspired from my favorite store, H&M. Most of my wardrobe consists of those colors. I will always live by the quote, “I like fashion to go down the street, but I don’t think it should originate there,” said by Coco Chanel.
Top Five Favorite Brands: H&M, American Eagle, Forever21, Express and American Apparel.

My experiences in writing have been part of why I've chosen to become a fashion journalist. I had an opportunity to write for The Sacramento Bee, and that not only taught me how to voice my opinion, but to see how much I wanted to share with the world through communicating in writing.  I've had many journalism internships, fashion internships and once I got accepted to the San Jose Fashion Week Team, I finally found my place in how I can start my future career. 

One big part of my life that has shown how dedicated I am to the fashion world would have to be Assistant Producing two fashion shows at San Francisco State University. This is where I got an opportunity to not only show my dedication and hard work to one part of the artistic world, but to meet people that have the same passion as I do when it comes to fashion. That's what led me to think that any opportunity I get is a chance to put myself out there and show people what I've experienced and what I'm sought out to do.

I'm really excited to work with many designers, writers, photographers, and everyone in the fashion work field and to network as much as possible. I believe that working your way up is the best part of the fashion industry because you get a feel for everyone's position on the other end. 

I'm also really excited to be part of the fashion industry. I don't only write about fashion for myself, I write for everyone out there. Live.Love.Fashion :)
