Shaneia Caldwell

I like to consider myself to be a true stiletto girl from the Midwest who is stepping toward becoming a walking fashion bible. I am Shaneia Caldwell and now reside in San Francisco.

Besides my obsession over shoes, style and beauty rocks my fancy. I came to know fashion at a young age when I took delight in styling Barbie’s outfits.

While studying Broadcast Journalism, I started a fashion beat at my college newspaper. This is when I realized my niche and often compared the feeling to finding a long lost friend.

Soon after, I began writing in the style sections of online and print publications. When the opportunity arose to further pursue my concentration, I didn’t think twice. I am now working on a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Journalism with an emphasis in Multimedia Communications at the Academy of Art University.

After reading countless magazines, immersing into daily blogs, embracing WWD and Style.com, I couldn’t fight the urge. Recently, I launched a fashion and beauty blog called Watch My Style where I scope out the latest trends, faces and buzz in the industry.

Both of my passions (fashion+journalism) have collided together and the explosion is beautiful.
